The Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd., was conferred upon the prestigious Super Trophy of Best Performer with 4 awards viz., Best Cybersecurity Education Campaign, Best HR Innovation, Best Fin-tech Engagement & Best Infrastructure Enhancement in Large Urban Cooperative Banks category by Frontiers in Cooperative Banking Awards (FCBA). This was the 15th year of FCBA Awards. The Super Trophy was announced by Mr. Babu Nair, Founder and Managing Director of Banking Frontiers during virtual award function programme held on Saturday, 23rd October 2021 in the Carnival of Cooperative Banking held by National Cooperative Banking Summit (NCBS) and FCBA.

While announcing the Super Trophy, Mr. Nair said that in present situation, cyber security education plays very important role in cooperative banks. The Super Trophy comprising of 4 Awards as Best Performer is very well deserved by Cosmos Bank. He also mentioned that being the 15th year of FCBA, the Super Trophy is very special and he takes great pleasure in conferring it to Cosmos Bank.

The Chief Guest for this virtual function Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Minister of State for Department of Financial Services mentioned in his speech that, it was great pleasure to connect with Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) through technology. He said that UCBs are very important as they reach rural area. They are significant for the last mile credit delivery. He also stated that though there has been considerable growth in the UCBs since 1990 its market share is declining. He emphasized that all Cooperative Banks should work towards increasing digital transactions, financial inclusion.
